Hop, skip, and bounce to Woodland Park Zoo as kiddies scamper for eggs on the North Meadow and zoo animals enjoy special Easter-themed treats at the 18th annual Bunny Bounce. The spring event offers fun egg hunts for children ages 1 to 8, crafts, animal encounters and engaging zoo programs throughout the day. Space for egg hunts might be limited and is open on a first-come, first-served basis. As part of the zoo’s conservation mission, families must bring their own egg hunt basket or reusable bag. For the health and well-being of the zoo’s animals, candy is not placed inside the eggs—egg hunt participants receive their treats as they exit the zoo. Candy will be provided by companies who are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, and are committed to sourcing certified sustainable palm oil. Visit www.zoo.org/palmoil for information.
Grizzlies, lions, otters, penguins, and other animal residents will celebrate the season of spring with favorite treats such as Easter baskets lined with flowers and berries. The special treats are part of the zoo’s excellent animal care program to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals. The safe activities help encourage natural animal behavior, keep animals mentally and physically stimulated and engage zoo visitors.
The Bunny Bounce runs from 9:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
