There are so many different ways to dye eggs this Easter; traditional, tie dye, natural dyes, etc. I have tried a few over the years and my favorite so far is dying eggs with Cool Whip.  My kids and I did it last year and had so much fun.  They liked being able to combine different colors to make different patterns and I am sure they loved the mess of it. I liked the ease of it and that no worries about eating the eggs when we were done using them for Easter.  This year we decided we would share with you the fun of dying eggs with Cool Whip!

Tips:

  • Wear gloves, it can get pretty messy
  • Soak your eggs in vinegar before dying them, it makes the colors stick better and come out brighter.  Don't have vinegar? No problem, you can still do it without it.
  • The longer you leave the dye on the eggs the darker the color will get.
  • Have fun! (That is the most important tip of all)
